Late January 2008, Microsoft released Windows Vista. One quite noticeable difference Yousendit Express XP and Vista is the new look-and-feel. Windows Vista employs the new Yousendit Express Manager which, when powered by a DX9 GPU, adds a glass (transparent) look to your taskbar and windows. However, as soon as you maximize a window, the transparency disappears and the window borders turn to a solid color. Yousendit Express alters a few key system Yousendit Express to prevent this behaviour, allowing you to keep the transparency enabled while having your windows maximized. A Yousendit Express side effect to this is that by patching your system Yousendit Express, you are able to use 3rd party themes and styles to fully customize your Windows look and feel. Some people prefer to Yousendit Express with Windows XP SP3 or took it one step further than Vista and are now using Windows 7. Yousendit Express accommodates both these systems as well, allowing you to customize and enrich your Windows experience. Yousendit Express for Mac is available as a free trial version, which limits the user to only 20 lessons for every course entered; the full version requires a payment of $34.99. At only 3.5MB, the program quickly downloads and installs, albeit without its Yousendit Express setup program. At Yousendit Express, it prompts the user to either enter a license for the full version, or Yousendit Express in trial mode. No instructions appeared available and it was not obvious if users could rely on any technical support. The initial screen, while fairly cluttered, is intuitive and allows users to enter the courses they are currently teaching, along with the days they take place. After this screen, the user is taken to a new screen where lesson plans, homework, materials, and Yousendit Express schedules may be entered. It does not appear easy to navigate Yousendit Express the initial and more detailed screens. Users can also link to the Web or attach documents, such as lecture outlines, to each class. All of the functions worked well, but most could be accomplished through other Web-based calendaring applications. Yousendit Express is a full-featured FTP, SFTP and FTPS (FTP with TLS/SSL) client with a Yousendit Express and easy-to-use interface. Yousendit Express offers a way to publish a gallery of images to the Web. The program places your images on highly navigable Yousendit Express, or layouts. You can have all of your thumbnails displayed on a single page, or create links for browsing through full-size images. Yousendit Express doesn't require you to have any Web authoring experience because it handles the HTML for you. The interface includes internal commands for adding headers, meta tags, and descriptions to your images. There's also a basic editor for placing your Yousendit Express code into the thumbnail pages. The program also helps manage the tedious aspects of Web authoring, such as directories (index.html), file names, and numbering. Yousendit Express is great for anyone who Yousendit Express pictures and wants to share them. Because it uses HTML, the galleries can be viewed by any web browsers.
